Lorraine Thornber is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro – 17th October 2013Lorraine Thornber of LTC Recruitment in Rishton is climbing Africa’s tallest mountain to help raise money to build Neave’s sensory room at home.Lorriane, a self-confessed non-walker is tackling the 5,895 Mount Kilimanjaro climb and funding the whole trip herself so that the maximum amount goes twards Neave’s sensory room.

 

The whole adventure will take about a week, culminating in the climb to the summit and Lorraine really needs your support.

On Thursday the 10th October we have 10 firemen from Red Watch, Wimbledon Fire Station will be cycling over 250 miles from their station to The Legacy Rainbow House.  They will arrive in Eccleston on Saturday the 12th October and all the support to cheer them in will be very welcome indeed.  You can now donate for Red Watch for their epic cycle challenge by texting REDL75 followed by the amount of your donation to 70070, or by clicking on the button below: Donate Online Now

Neave’s Fund 24 hour 5 a Sideathon!! – Saturday 9th November-Sunday 10th November 2013

A team made up of Great Harwood businesses will be tackling a swimathon to raise money for Neave’s Fund on Sunday 24th November at the Accrington Academy.

The team are made up from Gaskell Motor Bodies, The Chicken Shop, Elite Dry Cleaners, Ferj Photography and Expression Cakes and will be racing at 2pm to help raise money towards Neave’s sensory room.

Double Paralympic Gold Medalist, Hannah Cockroft MBE, kindly donated a signed Team GB vest which we auctioned at the Whalley Juniors annual ball which raised £200.  Thanks Hannah.
